When we met our first mermaid, we expected them to be killer swimmers with a passion for coral reef conservation. And we were right. But we did not expect them to be so up-to-date with memes and the front page of Reddit. They're actually some of the most privy creatures around! In fact, they are often ahead of Twitter trends and creeping up the top pages of Reddit themselves. They dream up the wittiest hashtags in just seconds, to go along with their highly stylized beachside Instagram photos. The underwater lens through which most are posted might as well be its own, exclusive filter.
How exactly they managed all this—not to mention how they afford all these waterproof tech cases—is truly a mystery. We suspect it has something to do with their special brand of thrift shop items in theh local hidden grottos. We know a few mermaid princesses with surface-world facinations would not only learn so much about parts of our world but then also manage to step it up so they can slide right into west and east coast society with ease once they decide to stretch those land legs. Or maybe it's just something in the water. Who knows.
