Get to Know a Gelfling
We sometimes get a few questions about the various creatures that dwell in our favorite fictions. Folks just aren't always sure about the difference between a centaur and a satyr or precisely how a ghoul becomes so ghastly. The biggest curiosity is all about the Gelflings of Thra! Their name sure sounds like "elf" so it makes sense that people wonder if they are related. Those long ears, a connection to nature. It all makes a lot of sense!
Well, here's the info. Gelflings were the native people of Skarith, a huge section of land with all sorts of different climates. Gelflings have long ears and can magically share each other's dreams. They evolve quickly, too, so there are fire Gelflings, aquatic ones, and more! Gelflings usually have matriarchal societies (probably because the gals get a pair of wings). Of course, the most interesting fact is that one Gelfling was prophesized to save the entire planet!
Fun Details
It turns out that the prophecized Gelfling hero didn't know a whole lot about Gelflings, either, so we're here to help you look the part! Gear up for the greatest adventure, ever, with this officially licensed Jen costume from The Dark Crystal. Our Made by Us design team worked to bring this look to life directly from the movie, so we have a tunic that features details along the shoulders, chest, and waist. Tattered strips of gauze hang off the gauntlets and back to create the distressed look of Jen's armor. A faux leather belt fits at your waist and the Jen wig gives you the big ears and bigger hair of our favorite hero.
Stay Tuned for Skeksies
Now, we can't really help too much when it comes to knowing the difference between the vulture-like villains of The Dark Crystal. To figure that out, you're going to have to gear up in this officially licensed Jen costume and confront them directly! Fortunately, you'll be looking in true Gelfling style the whole time.
