WE'D LOVE TO BE A TAVERN MAN
Do you want to know what the best part of living in the renaissance times would have been? The taverns! The taverns were a hub for social activity. They didn't have the internet, or social media, or even newspapers. But what they did have was a gathering place for all to enjoy; one that happens to sell wine and mead. What a lucky coincidence, right? People could meet at the tavern every night after a day of hard work; they'd get a hot meal, a tall drink, and the comradery of their fellow townsfolk.
That's why, if we had to live back then, we would want to own a tavern. We'd be everyone's favorite bartender and their most confidential friend. They'd vent to us, and we would help them, even if all we can offer is some friendly advice. It'd be a simple life, but a fun one!
FUN DETAILS
This costume looks fresh out of the Renaissance! Luckily for you, the Renaissance was also a rebirth of style. This costume starts with the pants; they are brown and have an elastic waistband. The shirt is actually a combination of the shirt and doublet; the doublet is green and the sleeves are white! The Doublet is edged with faux fur and laced with brown cord. All you'll need now are some good boots and a big mug of mead and your look will be complete!
RENAISSANCE FAIR
Are you going to be taking this costume to a renaissance fair? If you do, you can rest assured knowing that you will blend right in! People will have an easy time believing you're from the renaissance era. What they won't believe, is that you don't work at the local tavern! The costume is simply too convincing for its own good!
